You’re A Bony Skeleton

At school we are learning about the human body  and my homework is to write a song about the skeleton to the tune of ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’.

So press play and sing along…

You’re a bony skeleton, skeleton,
You feel it when you rub your chin, rub your chin,
This is a song to sing,
About your body’s scaffolding,
You’re a bony skeleton, skeleton.

A skeleton has two main parts two main parts,
Axial protects your heart,
While your arms and legs are superstars,
Of the appendicular,
A skeleton has two main parts, two main parts.

Five bone types inside of you, ‘side of you,
Long and short bones are just two, are just two,
There’s also sesamoid, flat,
Irregular too,
Five bone types inside of you, that is true!

Your skull protects your squidgy brain, squidgy brain,
Mandible and cranium,
Are the scientific names we call,
The best known bone of all,
Your skull’s the bone with spooky fame, spooky fame.

You’re a bony skeleton, skeleton,
You feel it when you rub your chin, rub your chin,
This is a song to sing,
About your body’s scaffolding,
You’re a bony skeleton, skeleton,
You’re a bony skeleton!
